Start Halloween week early in Woodinville. Freebush Cellars, at 19495 144th Ave NE, Ste B235, hosts a Halloween cookie decorating class where you decorate Halloween-themed sugar cookies, including witches, vampires, and jack-o’-lanterns. Trick-or-Treat on Main Street, Bothell (Friday, October 30, 5 to 7 PM)
Downtown Bothell hosts 30-plus candy stops run by local businesses, organizations, and City of Bothell departments, all along Main Street near 101st Avenue NE. Bring a bag or bucket. Bothell Fire, Police, Parks, and Public Works teams make appearances, and the route has decorations and photo spots along the way.
The city moved this year’s date from Halloween night to Friday because of WSDOT construction and community feedback, so mark October 30, not the 31st. The free celebration includes trick-or-treating throughout the property, kid-friendly Halloween movies in Haynes Hall, games, and food and drink specials. The children’s costume contest is at 6 PM and the adult costume contest is at 7 PM, so time your arrival around whichever one you plan to enter.
A Roaring Twenties Halloween Cocktail Party at Prohibition Cellars, Woodinville (Saturday, October 31, 6:30 to 10 PM)
For an adult-oriented Halloween night, Prohibition Cellars becomes a 1920s speakeasy. Eden Lane, a five-piece jazz ensemble, plays three hours of 1920s selections and Halloween-themed jazz favorites, starting at 7 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM for wine and charcuterie, and 1920s to 1930s attire is strongly encouraged.
